Today, November 16 2009, I was diagnosed with Shingles. Please pray for me, and add my name to other prayer lists for healing. This is the second time that I had Shingles. I am on a viral antibiotic and pain medicine.
Your sister in Jesus and a worshiper,

My husband(Judy Holt) and his family need prayer right now. My father-in-law has Alzheimers and has been deteriorating rapidly both physically and mentally over the past 5 months. He has been in the hospital this past week due to a fall. Since it is the second time he's needed hospitalization as the result of falling, the care home he was at is unable to take him back. He is now in a rehab facility while my mother-in-law looks for a more permanent place where he can receive one-on-one nursing care. All of this has been stressful on my mother-in-law, my husband and his sisters. There are differing opinions on what the next step should be and the kind of medical care he should receive. Also my son is currently stationed in Iraq but nearing the end of his deployement. He has a special relationship with my father-in-law and it has been hard for him to be so far away while all of this is happening. When he deployed my father-in-law was still living at home, not falling and capable of still taking care of his basic needs. If my father-in-law passed while he is still "down range", while not impossible, it would take some doing for him to get back for a funeral. As in all things in life, nothing is sure. He could die this week, he could die months from now. So here are my requests-
1) My mother-in-law would be able to find a care facility to place my father-in-law.
2) Continued strength and health for my mother-in-law as she continues to deal with this situation.
3) Family unity-not division.
4) God would take my father-in-law home. He's a believer and is more than ready.
5) Prepare all of our hearts to let him go home and give us comfort.
6) My son would be able to make his grandfather's funeral.
Thanks, Judy Holt
